Subjects Taught

I completed my undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University.  The course work I completed there was for my degree in middle grades education with particular concentrations in Science and Social Studies.  Also while I was at school I was an active member in the Appalachian State University Teaching Fellows, where I was able to attend professional development seminars, such as Respecting Diversity, Living in a Global Society, IDEA and what it means to a general education teacher, as well as others that pertain to making a student successful in my classroom.  I completed my masters degree in School Administration and Supervision from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va, May 2013.  I am currently enrolled back at Liberty University, pursuing my EdS degree in Middle Grades Curriculum with AIG add-on licensure, once this degree is completed in March, I intend on continuing on to complete my Doctorate (PhD).

My teaching experience extends back to my internships through college.  While at Appalachian I had the pleasure to work in a 12th grade AP Biology class, 8th grade Science and Social Studies, 7th Grade Social Studies and a 6th grade Science and Social Studies classroom.  Since I graduated from ASU in 2009, I have been employed with Caswell County schools, teaching 7th and 8th grade Science.

When I graduated from college I returned to my roots in Caswell County.  I was born and raised in Caswell where I attended Sweet Gum Elementary for a year, then South Elementary followed by Dillard Junior High School and finally Bartlett Yancey High School where I graduated in 2004.
